When I was five years old, I received a Commodore 64 computer for my birthday, and most of the rest is history. In high school I took a detour in a typing class and wrote a multi-user multi-system Spy Hunter clone in QBasic, and reminded myself that there was only one career choice for me. After college I joined the Microsoft stack when .NET 1.0 arrived and have been primarily a MS developer, by day, since then.

I joined Volvo IT in 2005 and spent the next 4-5 years maturing as a developer, going from junior developer role on to Senior Developer and Technical Lead on a global web platform team. In 2009, I decided to take my career in a new direction and accepted a position working for Microsoft building the new content authoring system for the MS Knowledge base.

After four years at Microsoft, I spent a year at a start-up in Medical Clinical Trials and led development of a Risk-Based Monitoring system from concept to successful delivery of version 1.0.

Currently, I’m once again building collaboration software in the Enterprise space.  My team of three built and delivered version 1.0 of the green-field client application Diligent Teams

My career in software has become a passion and a lifestyle. Making software better and more usable is one of the most satisfying things I know.

In my spare time, I lead a local photography group, CPG, make short films, go backpacking, and travel as often as I can.
